Fred Krueger is a serial entrepreneur who has founded multiple Internet advertising, consumer Internet and software companies including Flux (sold to Viacom), Adconion (voted top venture-backed company in Europe in 2008), iwin.com (sold to Vivendi Universal), Traffic Marketplace (sold to Vivendi Universal), Random Noise (sold to Vignette), and Fauve Software (sold to Macromedia-now Adobe).
Minor Childers, President
Currently the Co-Founder and President of Dot Eco, LLC and President of the World Carbon Database, Minor Childers hasn’t always been in the Environmental Industry. Minor began his career at Paramount Pictures as Executive Story Editor for Alan Ladd Jr. (”Braveheart”). Subsequently, Minor moved to DreamWorks, where Spielberg’s office paired him with Director Brad Silberling (”City of Angels”). With Silberling, Childers worked intensively in development, TV, and feature production, and produced “Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events.” It wasn’t long before Minor combining his passion for the environment and experience in film making, turned his focus to producing impactful, socially-conscious films. These films include the National Endowment for the Arts documentary “Operation Homecoming” — a revealing look at a creative writing program for U.S. troops and their families which was placed in the Library of Congress; “My Suicide”, a teen suicide prevention film; and “Morning”, a feature film on the grief and healing of parents after the loss of a child.
Jim Dufour, Executive Vice President, Science and Technology
Jim Dufour is the Associate Director of the Instrument Development Group at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego. Since 1982 Jim has developed and produced a myriad of oceanographic instruments, most recently the Spray Autonomous Glider and SOLO. His contributions have directly improved our understanding of the physical properties of the ocean and patterns of ocean climate variability.
Terri Durbin, Executive Director of Partnerships
Terri was most recently the Director of Corporate Relations for UC San Diego’s Office of Corporate Relations where she served as the link between UCSD and companies’ needs, maximizing the value of corporate-university partnerships. Prior to joining UCSD, Terri was the University Relations Manager for Intel Corporation. During her 10+ years at Intel, she set strategy for, and managed, Intel’s relationship with leading research institutions in the US. She was a key contributor in setting Intel’s short and long term higher Education goals, leading an extended team that made program recommendations to increase the graduate student pipeline and improve retention in engineering programs nationally. In addition, Terri also managed the Intel Foundation PhD Fellowship program. She is an avid runner, outdoor enthusiast, and as a volunteer for Project Kaisei, is committed to finding sustainable solutions to the problem of marine debris in our oceans.
Clark Landry, Vice President, Operations
Clark Landry is an entrepreneur who has co-founded and provided seed capital for seven successful internet companies including Flux (sold to Viacom), Adconion (voted top venture-backed company in Europe in 2008), Traffic Marketplace (sold to Vivendi Universal) and CityMommy. Clark holds a BA in Economics from Yale University.
James Borow, Vice President, Business Development
James Borow is an entrepreneur who has co-founded multiple social media companies and is formerly the Director of Business Development for Beyond Commerce, Inc., a publicly traded e-commerce, social media and local advertising solutions provider. James has a proven track record of creating revenue generating partnerships and understanding the Web 2.0 landscape. James holds a BA from Vanderbilt University.
